Welcome to the Tolliver v. Avvo Settlement Administration Website
If you worked for Avvo, Inc. in Washington as an Account Executive or Senior Account Executive at any time between March 15, 2013 and November 30, 2016, a Class Action Settlement may affect your rights.
You may be entitled to a payment from the Class Action Settlement. You do not need to do anything to receive a payment so long as your contact information is correct.
What is the Case About?
Former employees of Avvo brought claims against the company for allegedly misclassifying them as exempt, failing to pay overtime wages in violation of RCW 49.46.130, and willfully withholding wages owed in violation of RCW 49.52.070. Avvo denies the allegations and denies any wrongdoing. The parties have reached a Class Action Settlement.
What are the Benefits?
The Class Action Settlement will include a total settlement payment by Avvo of $1,750,000. You do not have to do anything to be eligible to receive a share of the settlement payment if you are a Settlement Class Member.
An estimated gross amount of your share of the Class Action Settlement before taxes if you did not exclude yourself from the Settlement is included with your mailed Notice. This amount is based on Avvo’s payroll records for time spent working as an Account Executive or Senior Account Executive during the relevant period. The final amount may be different.
